అష్టదిక్పాలకులు వారి ప్రాధాన్యత

ప్రతి ఇంటికి ఎనిమిది దిక్కులు ఉంటాయి. ఒక్కో దిగ్గుక్కును ఒక్కో దేవత పరిపాలిస్తుంటారు.

ఆ ప్రకారం తూర్పు దిక్కుకు అధిష్టాన దేవత ఇంద్రుడు. ఈయన సంతానం, ఐశ్వర్యాలను కలిగిస్తాడు కనుక ఈ భాగంలో ఎక్కువ బరువు పెట్టడం మంచిది కాదు. ఈ దిక్కులో బావులు, బోర్లు నిర్మించటం వల్ల శుభం చేకూరుతుంది.

పడమర దిక్కునకు అధిష్టాన దేవత వరుణ దేవుడు. తూర్పు దిక్కుకన్నా తక్కువ ఖాళీ స్థలం విడిచిపెట్టి ఎత్తుగా ఉండే విధంగా చూసుకున్నట్లయితే సర్వశుభములు కలుగుతాయి. పడమర భాగంలో మంచి నీటి బావులు, బోరులు నిర్మించుకోవచ్చు. అయితే ఇవి విదిశలకు తగలకుండా జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకోవాలి.

ఇక ఉత్తర దిక్కుకు అధిష్టాన దేవత కుబేరుడు. దక్షిణ దిక్కుకంటే పల్లంగానూ విశాలంగానూ ఈ దిశ ఉండేలా చూసుకోవాలి. ఈ దిక్కులో బోరులు, బావులు ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవటం మంచిదే. దీనివల్ల విద్య, ఆదాయం, సంతానం, పలుకుబడి పెరుగే అవకాశం ఉంది.

అలాగే దక్షిణం దిశకు అధిష్టాన దేవత యముడు. ఉత్తరదిశ ఖాళీ స్థలం కన్నా ఈ దిశలో తక్కువ ఖాళీ స్థలం ఉండేటట్లు చూసుకోవడం ఉత్తమం. దీనివల్ల సంతానం, ఆదాయం అభివృద్ధి చెందుతుంది. దీనికి వ్యతిరేకంగా ఉన్నట్లయితే స్థిరాస్తుల అమ్మకం, అనారోగ్యాలు బారిన పడక తప్పదు.

ఈశాన్య దిక్కకు అధిదేవత ఈశ్వరుడు. అన్ని దిక్కుల కన్నా ఈ దిశ విశాలంగానూ, పల్లంగానూ ఉండాలి. ఈశ్వరుడు గంగాధరుడు కనుక ఈ దిశలో నీరు… బావి ఉండటం వల్ల
అష్టైశ్వర్యములు కలుగుతాయి. అంతేగాక భక్తి జ్ఞానములు ఉన్నత ఉద్యోగాలు సమకూరతాయని వాస్తు శాస్త్రం తెలియజేస్తోంది.

ఆగ్నేయానికి అధిష్టాన దేవత అగ్నిదేవుడు. అందువల్ల ఈ దిక్కున వంట ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవటం శుభం. బావులు, గోతులు… ఇతర దిశలకన్నా ఎక్కువ పల్లంగా ఉంచటం ఎంత మాత్రం మంచిదికాదు. దీనివల్ల వ్యసనాలు, ప్రమాదాలు, అనారోగ్యాలు స్థిరాస్థులు కోల్పోవటం జరుగుతుంది.

వాయవ్యానికి అధిష్టాన దేవత వాయువు. నైరుతి, ఆగ్నేయ దిశలకన్నా పల్లంగానూ, ఈశాన్య దిక్కుకన్నా మిర్రుగానూ ఉండాలి. అదే విధంగా ఈ దిశలో నూతులు, గోతులు ఉండకుండా చూసుకోవాలి. ఈ దిశ ఈశాన్యం కన్నా హెచ్చుగా పెరిగి ఉండకూడదు. ఇలా ఉండటం వల్ల పుత్ర సంతతికి హాని, అభివృద్ధికి అవరోధం కలిగే అవకాశం ఉంది.

నైరుతి దిక్కుకు అధిష్టాన దేవత నివృత్తి అనే రాక్షసుడు. అన్ని దిక్కులకన్నా ఈ దిశ తక్కువ ఖాళీగా ఉండి ఎక్కువ ఎత్తు కలిగి ఉండాలి. ఈ దిశలో ఎక్కువగా బరువులు వేయటం శుభం. ఈ దిశలో గోతులు, నూతులు ఉన్నట్లైతే ప్రమాదాలు, దీర్ఘ వ్యాధులు, స్థిరాస్తులు కోల్పోవటం జరుగుతుంది.

తూర్పు : క్షత్రియ సంభవుడు.  ధర్మం  కీర్తి కారకుడు, రాజస గుణాధిక్యతగలవాడు ఇంద్రుడు.

పడమర : పాశంతో బంధించి, పురుషులకు తక్కువ సామర్ధ్యమిచ్చవాడు వరుణుడు.

దక్షిణ : మృత్యుకారకుడు. వినాశకుడు. దరిద్రకారుడు. సమవర్తి. ధన హీనుడు యముడు.

ఉత్తర : ఐశ్వర్య, భోగ భాగ్యకారకుడు. సకల సంపత్కరుడు. ధనాధిపతి. కుబేరుడు.

ఈశాన్యం : ఈశాన్య దిక్పతి. మృత్యుంజయుడు, సకల శుభకారకుడు. వంశోద్దీపకుడు. శివుడు.

వాయువ్యం : అస్తిరత్వం ఎక్కువ. చంచలబుద్ధి. స్థాన భ్రష్ఠత్వం కలిగించే గుణంకలవాడు వాయువు.

నైరుతి : నర వాహనుడు, రాక్షసుడు. పీడా కారకుడు. రక్తపానమత్తుడు. హింసా కారకుడు. నైరుతి.

ఆగ్నేయం : దురహంకారి, సర్వదగ్ధ సమర్ధుడు, ధన లేమి కారకుడు, రోగ కారకుడు కూడా – అగ్ని.

Vastu Purusha and Vastu Purusha Mandala

The God of structures, also known as - Vaastu Purush, provides protection, happiness and prosperity to its habitants if Vaastu/ Vastu principles are followed.

The Vaastu Purush Mandala is a specific type of  mandala used in Vaastu Shastra. It is the metaphysical plan of a building / temple / site that incorporates the course of the heavenly bodies and supernatural forces.

The principal Gods / presiding deities of each direction are listed below:

Let’s understand the importance of location of rooms based on direction:-

North-East: In morning, from 3:00 am to 6:00 am, Sun is in the North-East part of house. This patch of time between 3:00 am to 6:00 am is called as Brahma Mahurat and is best for meditation, yoga, exercise or study. Hence North-East part of a home is best suited for a pooja/prayer room, living room or even study room.

East: The Sun remains from 6:00 am to 9:00 am in East portion of a home, this time is best to get ready for the day ahead and hence East is best suitable for a bathroom (only bathroom, not toilet). However, this portion can also be used for living room, unmarried children’s bedroom, guest bedroom, dining room, pooja room and even study room.

South-East: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon is the time when Sun is in the South-East part of home and this time is best for preparing food and going to job. Hence this location is best suited to place a kitchen, office or unmarried son’s bedroom in a home.

South: The time between 12 noon and 3:00 pm is time to work, during this time the Sun is in southern portion of a building and hence this location is good for office. In this portion, the intensity of sunlight is very high and hence South can also be used as a store room, staircase and even toilets.

South-West: Post lunch is the time to rest i.e. from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. During this time the sun is in South-West portion of a home and hence this location is best for master bedroom. Also a staircase or strong room can be located here.

West: The time between 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm is best time to relax and dine. Thats why this is the best location to have dining room in a home. One can also use this portion to locate children’s bedroom, prayer room, study room or a staircase.

North-West: The time between 9:00 pm to 12:00 am is the time to relax and sleep. Hence this location is best suited for a bedroom. However, this portion can also be used as living room.

North: The time between 12:00 am and 3:00 am is the time of secrecy and darkness; hence this portion of home is best suitable for cash room or strong room. However this portion is also used as living room or dining room.
